Life being named after a vegetable is not always easy, but it sure is interesting. Hi, my name is Cale Ledford. I am currently a fourth-year at the University of Georgia, where I am majoring in public relations, minoring in political science and pursuing certificates in public affairs communications and personal and organizational leadership.

As a first-generation college student, my journey to where I am today has not always been the smoothest, but it has been overwhelmingly rewarding. When I was growing up, I would watch The History Channel and read books while my Mom cleaned houses. I have been very fortunate to go places and experience things that my parents could have only ever dream
ed of.

Two of my greatest strengths are my interpersonal and communication skills. Over the years, I have been able to utilize my extroverted personality to help guide me along, not only through my college career and personal life, but also in my professional development. Working with people has always been one of my favorite things, and I look forward to coupling my passion for people, with my passion for work someday.

During my time at the University of Georgia, I have had the opportunity to develop myself as a campus leader and professional. From serving as a Grady College Ambassador to interning in the United States Senate, I have been given opportunities in college that I could have never imagined. I hope to have a career that will continue to push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to grow more not only as a professional, but also as a human being.
